Ford: October auto sales down 5% in China.
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford Motor said on Tuesday that it sold nearly 106,000 automobiles in China in October, down 5% y-o-y.
Year-to-date sales have fallen by 5% y-o-y, to 939,000 vehicles, it added in a statement.
The Detroit automaker - which operates in China under the Changan Ford, JMC and Lincoln joint ventures - said Focus sales are down 29% year-to-date, while EcoSport sales are down 28%.
As a reminder, in early 2017 China decided to raise sales taxes on small cars.
