Ford: September China auto sales broadly stable.
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford and its Chinese joint ventures sold 113,000 vehicles in September, achieving approximately the same volume compared to the same period a year ago.
Ford's sales in the first nine months of the year totaled nearly 833,000 vehicles, down 5% compared to the same period in 2016.
While Ford's China sales have been bolstered by strong growth in SUV models, suchs as Kuga, sales of Focus have plummeted by 28% year-to-date.
As a reminder, in early 2017 China decided to raise sales taxes on small cars.
