Ford: September US sales up 8.7%.
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford Motor said on Tuesday that its US sales rose by 8.
7% y-o-y in September for all of its brands, with strong performance "across the board."
The carmaker's US market sales rose to 222,248 vehicles last month, from 204,447 vehicles in the same month a year earlier.
The best-selling trucks F-Series sold above the 80,000 truck mark last month, up 21.4%, while sport utility sales rose 8.8%, Ford said.
Ford shares were up 1.8%, at 12.3 dollars, on Tuesday morning on the New York Stock Exchange.
