Ford: exceeds expectations in second quarter.

(CercleFinance.com) - Ford is reporting net profit up approximately 5% for the last quarter to two billion euros, or 51 cents per share.

In adjusted figures, EPS amounts to 56 cents, beating the 13 cents which was the average estimate from analysts.

The group has seen its automobile operating margin drop 1.8 points to 5.9%, particularly because of higher raw materials costs (especially steel), for revenue growth of 1% to 39.9 billion dollars.

For 2017 as a whole, the carmaker from Dearborn (Michigan) anticipates EPS of between 1.65 and 1.85 dollars based on an effective adjusted tax rate now estimated at around 15%.
