Ford: to invest 900 million dollar in Kentucky plant.
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford said on Tuesday that it will invest 900 million dollars in its Kentucky truck plant, securing 1,000 jobs to build an all-new Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator.
The US car maker said the all-new Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator will be exported to over 55 markets worldwide, including China.
This is in addition to the 1.3 billion dollar investment and 2,000 jobs created at this plant in late 2015 to build the all-new Ford Super Duty.
On the other hand, Ford said the next-generation Focus for North America will be globally sourced primarily from China - rather than Hermosillo, Mexico - with production starting in the second half of 2019.
