Facebook: Quarterly earnings almost double
(CercleFinance.com) - Facebook last night published results that included an 11% increase in its Q2 revenue to 18.
69 billion dollars.
Advertising revenues alone rose by 10% to 18.3 billion dollars. Its number of active users increased to 2.7 billion. This indicator, which is closely watched for a social network that is regularly accused of losing ground to new market entrants, increased by 12%.
Finally, net profit almost doubled from 2.62 billion dollars (91 cents per share) to 5.18 billion dollars (1.80 dollar per share). However, it should be noted that in Q2 2019 the group booked a 2 billion dollar provision for a dispute with the FTC.
