Facebook: more woman appointed on board
(CercleFinance.com) - Last night Facebook announced the appointment of two businesswomen, Nancy Killefer and Tracey Travis, to its board of directors, of which women now represent 40%.
Formerly a consultant at McKinsey until leaving in 2013, at the consulting group Nancy Killefer worked with companies from the retail, consumer, catering and high-tech sectors, Facebook said in a statement.
She also held various senior positions in the American government, it added.
Meanwhile, Tracey Travis - who is currently CFO of the Estée Lauder cosmetics group - has had a rich career that has seen her work with companies such as Ralph Lauren, Pepsi and General Motors.
Including Peggy Alford and Sheryl Sandberg, who were already on the board, it now has four women out of a total of ten members.
