Facebook: increases share buybacks by 9 billion dollars
(CercleFinance.com) - Social network company Facebook has said that its board of directors has authorized additional share repurchases of 9 billion dollars of the company's common stock.
This increase adds to a previously authorized repurchase of up to 15 billion dollars of "A" shares that started in 2017, the company said late on Friday.
Facebook shares, which has a market capitalization of about 395 billion dollars, were up 1.4% at 139.4 billion dollars in pre-market trading on Monday.
