Facebook: fined in Spain.
(CercleFinance.com) - It's a drop in the ocean for Facebook, which will be easily able to pay it, although it's still a fine.
The Spanish data protection agency said on Monday that it had fined the social network 1.2 million euros.
This was motivated by the collection of information about users without their explicit consent. The said information was then used "for advertising purposes, amongst other things," the agency lamented.
Facebook has up to two months to challenge the fine.
