ExxonMobil: Beaumont expansion project completed
(CercleFinance.com) - ExxonMobil announced on Thursday the effective start of the expansion project of its refinery in Beaumont (Texas), which will enable it to produce 250,000 more barrels of oil equivalent per day, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The expansion of this site, which is already one of the largest petrochemical sites on the Gulf Coast, will be based on the energy group's growing crude oil production in the Permian Basin.
The additional capacity is expected to bring the site's total production to over 630,000 barrels per day, making it one of the largest refineries in the US.
Connected via a network of pipelines to ExxonMobil's Permian Basin operations, the site produces finished products such as diesel, gasoline and jet fuel.
