ExxonMobil: makes 5th oil discovery offshore Guyana.
(CercleFinance.com) - ExxonMobil today announced that it has made its fifth new oil discovery offshore Guyana, after drilling the Turbot-1 well.
Affiliate Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Ltd. began drilling the Turbot-1 well on 14 August last summer and found a reservoir of 23 meters of high-quality, oil-bearing sandstone at 5,622 meters in 1,802 meters of water on 29 September 2017.
It is the latest discovery in this country and after completion, another well on the Turbot discovery is being planned for 2018.
