ExxonMobil: production contract in Equatorial Guinea.
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Exxon Mobil signed a production sharing contract with the government of Equatorial Guinea for a deepwater block located 36 miles west offshore.
The contract includes a commitment to acquire new and reprocess existing 3D seismic data, the US company said.
ExxonMobil will carry out the program as an operator with an 80% working interest, while the state-owned GEPetrol will hold a 20% working interest.
The deepwater block EG-11 has an area of about 1,242 square kilometres.
