(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse has upgraded its rating on eBay from "neutral" to "outperform," citing an Internet "value story" with several paths to value creation.
In a research note sent to clients, the broker firm said the company's marketplace growth is stable and that it has the potential to accelerate further in the second half of 2017 and 2018, driven by platform changes and product innovation.
Indeed, Credit Suisse sees "multiple paths to value creation."
In the report, the broker gives the example of potential monetization coming from classified and Stubhub businesses, improved transaction revenue growth and more aggressive share repurchases.
