DuPont: acquires Laird Performance Materials
(CercleFinance.com) - DuPont announces that it has entered into a definitive agreement with the private equity group Advent International to acquire Laird Performance Materials for 2.
3 billion dollars, which it will fund from existing cash resources.
Specialising in high performance electromagnetic shielding and thermal management, Laird Performance Materials employs over 4,300 people and has 11 manufacturing sites worldwide. Its sales reached 465 million dollars in 2020.
DuPont expects the transaction to enhance its adjusted EPS over the first 12 months. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
