DowDuPont: set to join Dow Jones index on 1 September.
(CercleFinance.com) - DowDuPont, the combined group formed from Dow and DuPont, will replace DuPont in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) stock index as from 1 September.
The chemicals group said the change was prompted by the merger of Dow and Dupont into one company, which is effective as of the same date.
As a reminder, Dow and DuPont plan to merge and then split within 18 months into three independent, publicly traded companies that are focused on agriculture, material science and specialty products.
