Dollar General: building a centre in Texas
(CercleFinance.com) - The Dollar General chain of stores announces that it is to build a new distribution centre in Longview in north-east Texas, which will create 400 full-time jobs.
The state-of-the-art centre will serve a thousand retail stores in Texas and the south-east of the United States. The construction is set to start at the beginning of 2018, pending permits and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
This will be the group's second distribution centre in Texas (the first being the one in San Antonio) and its 17th in the United States. There are 1,400 retail stores in Texas employing 12,000 staff.
