Disney: games development partnership with Jam City
(CercleFinance.com) - Disney and Jam City today announce the signing of a multi-year partnership for the development of games for mobile telephones.
Jam City will develop a list of new games for mobiles (the first of which will be a game created from the sequel of 'Frozen'), based on the intellectual property of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Global Pixar. It will also take the role of publisher of the Disney Emoji Blitz mobile game.
“While our licensing business for Disney Animation and Pixar games has grown over the last year and we have several top developers creating Disney games, this deal with Jam City represents a significant long-term opportunity for our games business and for the future slate of Disney and Pixar games,” said Kyle Laughlin, Senior Vice President of Games and Interactive Experiences at Disney.
