Disney: appoints Mastercard executive to board
(CercleFinance.com) - Disney named Mastercard executive Michael Froman as a new director on its board, effective immediately.
Froman is currently the vice-chairman and president of the world's second-biggest payments processor, in charge of strategic growth. In this role, he has been responsible for building strategic partnerships with governments, NGOs and other institutions, Disney said.
Before joining Mastercard, Froman served as US Trade Representative from 2013 to 2017, negotiating international trade partnerships and investment opportunities on behalf of the United States.
He also served as advisor for international economic affairs under President Barack Obama.
