Disney: 'Ant-Man' takes world box office crown
(CercleFinance.com) - Thanks to a "terrific" opening weekend in China, Disney's "Ant-Man And The Wasp" took top spot at box offices over the weekend, taking in 73 million dollars, comScore said on Monday.
In China alone, the super-hero flick notched up 68 million dollars in just three days for its opening weekend, the audience company said.
In the US and Canada, the comedy pic "Crazy Rich Asians," produced by Warner Bros., confirmed its surprising success and held onto top spot at the box-office, with takings of 25 million dollars over the weekend, comScore said.
