Marvel's newest hit superhero film - which has yet to be released in China, Japan and Russia - opened at number one in almost all countries, according to numbers provided by research firm comScore.
In North America, the movie set new box office records, including the fifth biggest opening weekend of all-time.
comScore's analysts said that with the film yet to start in China, Japan and Russia, the film's potential future revenue is "literally off the charts."
