Deere: Q1 EPS falls short of expectations

(CercleFinance.com) - John Deere has reported Q1 2018-19 net income of 498.
5 million dollars, meaning EPS of 1.54 dollar, vs. 1.35 dollar a year earlier, although about 20 cents lower than the consensus.

The agricultural and construction equipment manufacturer posted sales that are up 15% at 7.98 billion dollars, with equipment sales that are up 16% (+31% in construction-forestry and +10% in agriculture-lawns).

For the full year in progress, the Group from Moline (Illinois) says that it expects net profit of approximately 3.6 billion dollars, on equipment sales that are up around 7%.
