Costco: May same-store sales up 11.7%

The retailer on Thursday reported a 11.7% rise in May same-store sales.
Same-store sales at its US locations increased by 11.7%, while international division sales grew 9.4%.
Costco currently operates 750 warehouses, including 520 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 98 in Canada, 38 in Mexico, 28 in the United Kingdom, and one in France.
Excluding the impacts from changes in gasoline prices and foreign exchange, the company said US comparable sales growth would have been 8%.
