Costco: names Blackstone executive as board chairman.
(CercleFinance.com) - Costco Wholesale said that it has named Blackstone chief operating officer Tony James its board chairman.
Tony James had been a director of Costco Wholesale since August 1988 and was its lead independent director since 2005.
The announcement was made after Jeff Brotman, co-founder of the warehouse club chain and board chairman, died last week.
