Colgate-Palmolive: CEO elected board chairman

(CercleFinance.com) - Wednesday evening Colgate-Palmolive's CEO Noel Wallace was elected as chairman of its board of directors.


Wallace, who took charge at Colgate last year, will replace Ian Cook, himself a former company boss, as board chairman as from 1 April.

The soap and toothpaste maker also announced that Martina Hund-Mejean, former CFO of credit card issuer Mastercard, has joined the board.

Finally, the New York-based group reported a 1-cent increase in its quarterly dividend to 44 cents per share, up from 43 cents to date, a decision that will bring its annual dividend to 1.76 dollar.
