Citigroup: beats consensus in Q1

(CercleFinance.com) - Unveiled before Wall Street opens this Friday, along with those of JPMorgan and Wells Fargo, Citigroup's Q1 results of were marked by earnings of 4.
1 billion dollars, meaning EPS of 1.68 dollar, up 33 cents over one year.

This increase exceeds the consensus, which expected 1.61 dollar.
Meanwhile, revenues rose from 18.37 billion dollars in Q1 2017 to 18.87 billion dollars this year, representing growth that is bang in line with the consensus.

However, the CET1 ratio came in at 12.1%, compared to 12.8%, although ROE grew by 230 basis points over one year to 9.7%.
