Chevron: Q4 2019 a lot below estimates

7 billion dollars for Q4 2019, a far cry from a profit of 3.7 billion dollars a year earlier.
The loss amounted to 3.51 dollars per share, an unexpected scenario for economists, who on average were expecting EPS of 1.45 dollar.
The oil and gas company thus saw its annual EPS fall to 1.54 dollar, against 7.74 dollars in 2018. While the group made a profit in 2019 (2.8 billion dollars), this is well below its level in 2018 (14.9 billion dollars).
