Chevron: first oil from Big Foot deep-water project
(CercleFinance.com) - The Big Foot deepwater project in the US Gulf of Mexico, operated by Chevron, has started crude oil and natural gas production, the oil giant said on Wednesday.
The field, which was discovered in 2006, is found approximately 360 km south of New Orleans, in a water depth of approximately 1,580 metres.
The project is designed for a capacity of 75,000 barrels of oil and 25 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
