Caterpillar: raises targets for 2018 again
(CercleFinance.com) - Reporting better-than-expected quarterly results, Caterpillar has again raised its adjusted FY 2018 EPS target range from 10.
25-11.25 dollars to 11-to-12 dollars.
For Q2, the building equipment giant published adjusted EPS that doubled to 2.97 dollars, while the consensus was looking for 24 cents less on average, with revenues that are up 24% at 14 billion dollars.
In addition, the Board of Directors of the Peoria-based group (in Illinois) has authorised share repurchases for up to 10 billion dollars as from 1 January 2019, with the current program, which dates back to January 2014, set to expire at end of the current year.
