Caterpillar: former US senator to join board of directors.
(CercleFinance.com) - Caterpillar said on Thursday that its board of directors has elected Kelly Ayotte, a former US senator who represented New Hampshire, as a board member with immediate effect.
The world's largest maker of earth-moving equipment says Ayotte, aged 49, was a senator between 2011 and 2017, after serving as New Hampshire's first female attorney general until 2009.
Before that, she was deputy attorney general and head of the Homicide Prosecution Unit in New Hampshire.
