Campbell: names new head of R&D
(CercleFinance.com) - Currently in the spotlight and watched by activist investor Third Point, which wants to replace its entire board of directors, Campbell Soup has appointed a new head of research and development (R&D) on Tuesday.
Craig Slavtcheff, 51, will lead Campbell's entire R&D organisation, including strategy, innovation and product development for the company's divisions.
He will report to chief operating officer Luca Mignini, it said.
Before joining Campbell, Slavtcheff held the position of North American head of home and personal care R&D at Unilever, which prompted him to lead R&D and innovation for brands such as Dove.
Slavtcheff replaces Carlos Barroso, who retired from Campbell last month.
