Bristol-Myers: positive data for anticoagulant Eliquis.
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Bristol-Myers and partner Pfizer released real-world analysis showing that treatment with anticoagulant Eliquis was associated with a significantly lower risk of stroke/systemic embolism and lower rates of major bleeding compared to warfarin in patients aged 65 years and older with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
The data gathered by US insurer Humana includes managed care medical and pharmacy claims from over 20 million persons primarily residing in the Southern and Midwestern regions of the US, the companies said.
