Boeing: Japan Airlines orders 21 737-8 aircraft

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing and Japan Airlines (JAL) have completed an order for 21 737-8 aircraft.

The 737-8 will enable JAL to strengthen its domestic and regional network as passenger traffic continues to return to pre-pandemic levels. JAL intends to start using the aircraft in its fleet from 2026.

The 737 MAX will offer JAL greater range and fuel efficiency, reducing both fuel consumption and carbon emissions by 15% compared to the aircraft the airline is replacing. In addition, the 737 MAX is a quieter aircraft, creating a significantly smaller noise footprint than previous aircraft.
