Boeing: receives major order from Riyadh Air
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has said that the Saudi carrier Riyadh Air has selected the 787 Dreamliner to support its global launch and its goal of operating one of the world's most efficient and sustainable fleets.
Owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), Riyadh Air has announced that it will buy 39 787-9 aircraft with options for a further 33 units.
The deal is part of Saudi Arabia's wider strategic plan to transform the country into a global aviation hub.
