Boeing: Starliner successfully docking to ISS
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing said late last week that its CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, launched by an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral, has made its first connection to the International Space Station (ISS).
With no astronauts on board, Starliner's autonomous systems and ground controllers in Houston guided the spacecraft through a series of manoeuvres to bring it progressively closer to the orbiting laboratory before docking.
During the time the Starliner is docked in orbit, the ISS crew will perform periodic system checks while ground controllers evaluate the data collected during its flight.
