Boeing: Jefferies maintains buy rating, cutting TP
(CercleFinance.com) - Jefferies reinstates its "buy" rating on Boeing shares, although has reduced its target price for them to 225 dollars (from 270 dollars), in the wake of a 30% reduction in its operating profit estimates for the plane maker for 2022-24.
"It feels as though it's been a decade since BA put up a positive print. Investor sentiment
on Q1 looked for a glimmer of hope," the broker said in its comments.
Jefferies sees some progress on the MAX aircraft pace and the FAA submission for the 787, but notes that defence has disappointed. "There are questions around Defense and Commercial normalized profit," it adds.
