Boeing: FAA approves 737 MAX return to service

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing said on Wednesday that the US Federal Aviation Administration has officially approved the resumption of the 737 MAX operations.

The signed order from the FAA paves the way for the Boeing 737 MAX's return to commercial service at airlines that are under the agency's jurisdiction, including those in the US.

The move also enables Boeing to begin making deliveries again.

The FAA halted the aircraft's commercial operations after two major crashes killed 346 people aboard Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines flights.

However, the FAA's stamp of approval does not allow the MAX to return immediately to the skies as US carriers will have to install software updates, complete wire separation modifications, and conduct pilot training before they can resume service.
