Boeing: Emirates orders 30 787 Dreamliner
(CercleFinance.com) - Emirates said on Wednesday that it has finalised a purchase agreement for thirty 787-9 Boeing Dreamliner aeroplanes, in a deal worth 8.
8 billion dollars according to list prices.
Emirates had previously signed an initial agreement for the larger 787-10 variant.
The airline will also update a portion of its order book by exercising substitution rights and converting 777 airplanes into 787, it said.
At 63 meters long, the 787-9 Dreamliner can fly 296 passengers, in a typical two-class configuration, up to 13,950 kilometers, while reducing fuel costs by more than 20% compared to previous aircraft.
The agreement was signed at the Dubai airshow.
