Boeing: Sunexpress orders 10 737 MAX
(CercleFinance.com) - The Turkish airline SunExpress has transformed an option into an order for an additional 10 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to continue with its fleet renewal, the group announced today at the 2019 Dubai Airshow.
This order is worth 1.2 billion dollars and comes in addition to a previous SunExpress order for 32 MAX aircraft.
The airline, which specializes in direct connections between Europe, Turkey and holiday destinations, has reported strong growth in recent years, thanks to the steady increase in its fleet of aircraft - mainly the Boeing 737.
Last year, SunExpress' passenger numbers increased to nearly 10 million passengers travelling to approximately 100 destinations.
