Boeing: wins 737 MAX jet orders from Nigeria, Middle East

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing said the newly-created Nigerian airline Green Africa Airways has placed an order for up to a hundred 737 MAX aircraft in the largest deal ever for the African continent.


The Lagos-based airline has firmly committed to buying 50 737 MAX 8, and has taken an option for another 50 aircraft, as it is gearing up to begin commercial operations, Boeing said.

The total deal carries a list-price of 11.7 billion dollars, the plane maker said.

Boeing also said that Middle East carrier flyadeal has committed to ordering thirty 737 MAX jets, with an option for another 20 in a deal that would be worth up to 5.9 billion dollars at list prices.
