Boeing: delivers first 787-10 Dreamliner to Singapore
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing delivered its first 787-10 Dreamliner to Singapore Airlines over the weekend, with the longer aircraft capable of carrying about 40 more passengers, or a total of 330 seats.
The 787 Dreamliner, which is manufactured in North Charleston, South Carolina, has been designed with strong, lightweight composites, providing the lowest operating cost per seat of any widebody airplane, Boeing said.
Singapore Airlines plans to put its 787-10s into service in May, with flights from Singapore to Osaka, Japan and Perth, Australia.
