Boeing: Jefferies maintains 'buy' rating.
(CercleFinance.com) - Jefferies maintains a "buy" rating and a 200-dollar price target on Boeing after the aerospace giant decided to streamline its defence and space division to increase the unit's competitiveness.
In a research note, the brokerage firm says the new market focus may inject a more entrepreneurial spirit into the organisation, while also stepping up productivity initiatives.
Jefferies then believes program wins or speed-to-market could have a more meaningful impact on the performance of each of the new units.
According to the broker, the defence support business, combined with the commercial airplane services unit, could have revenues above the 20-billion-dollar mark and margins in the low double-digit range.
Boeing announced yesterday after the market closed the inception of four new units (Autonomous Systems; Space and Missile Systems; Strike, Surveillance and Mobility; Vertical Lift) within its defence and space division.
