Baker Hughes: cooperation deal with HIF Global
(CercleFinance.com) - Baker Hughes has announced a cooperation agreement with HIF Global to develop a technology to capture carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere ("CO2 Direct Air Capture" or "DAC").
The partners plan to test pilot units of Baker Hughes' Mosaic DAC technology to accelerate the deployment of DAC on a commercial scale.
Revolutionary technologies like Mosaic that enable efficient, low-cost capture of CO2 from our atmosphere represent the future of CO2 recycling, CEO of HIF Global said.
HIF Global plans to capture 25 million tonnes of CO2 per year and combine it with green hydrogen to produce 150,000 barrels per day of eFuels and decarbonise over 5 million vehicles on the road today.
