Apple: at lowest since July, as iphone underwhelms

(CercleFinance.com) - Apple shares closed down over 1% at just shy of 150 dollars on Wednesday, having at one point dipped to 145 dollars, reaching their lowest level since July, amid concerns about demand for its new iPhone.

According to information relayed by Bloomberg, Apple appears to have given up increasing production of the iPhone 14, which has been on sale since the beginning of the month, due weak demand from consumers.

This is clearly bad news in light of the faltering economy and market jitters that could send shockwaves through Wall Street, said Dan Ives, a reknowned analyst at Wedbush.

The professional evokes an umpteenth disappointment for investors already worried about the sluggishness of stockmarkets, fears exacerbated by the status of "darling" that Apple enjoys with investors.
