Apple: iPhone 14 underwhelms

(CercleFinance.com) - The launch of Apple's iPhone 14 was not met with great enthusiasm on Thursday on Wall Street, where the stock of the world's largest market capitalisation closed down almost 1%.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus at an event at its Cupertino, California, headquarters last night, with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens respectively and advanced dual cameras.

Both devices also feature accident detection functionality, as well as an industry-first smartphone assistance service with emergency satellite calling.

Equipped with the A15 Bionic chip, the smartphones boast the longest battery life ever seen in an iPhone.

The new iPhone 14 will not be available from today, Friday 16 September, and the iPhone 14 Plus will be available from Friday 7 October.

Apple also unveiled the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max yesterday, which are said to be the most advanced "pro" range to date thanks to the A16 Bionic processor, the fastest chip ever built into a smartphone.
