Apple: opens new store in Beijing
(CercleFinance.com) - Apple today opened a new store in Beijing, a refurbished version of its first store in China.
Sitting near its previous location on an open square in the Sanlitun district, the brand new store is twice the size of the original, Apple said.
The new store features Apple's latest retail design updates, including a forum, a gallery, and a boardroom. It is also equipped with an integrated solar array, a first in China.
The shop requires masks, temperature checks, and social distancing before entry and inside the store.
Since opening 12 years ago, the Sanlitun store has welcomed more than 22 million visitors, Apple said.
