Apple: shares slightly up in the aftermath of WWDC.

(CercleFinance.com) - Shares in Apple are up slightly on Tuesday after the company held its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose yesterday.

Amongst the new additions unveiled at the show, Apple presented HomePod, a voice control home music speaker with high-fidelity sound and Siri intelligence.

The speaker is positioned to compete with Amazon's Echo and Google's Home.

"The device is well designed and priced at 350 dollars and will initially ship in US, UK and Australia by the year end," say analysts at Credit Suisse, who have an "outperform" rating on the stock.

The broker also takes note of the latest improvements in iOS, tvOS, macOS, watchOS, which will continue to differentiate the company's software edge, according to analysts.

"We believe ahead of the iPhone 8 super-cycle this positions the portfolio well for second-half 2017 and beyond," the broker said.

Apple shares are currently up 0.4% at 154.5 dollars.
