American Airlines: back to black in Q3
(CercleFinance.com) - American Airlines has announced Q3 revenues of 9 billion dollars, up 20% sequentially from Q2, almost triple the 3.
1 billion dollars reported in Q3 2020.
Q3 EBIT came in at 595 million dollars, against a loss of 2,871 million dollars in the same period of 2020.
The company reported Q3 net profit of 169 million dollars, with the company making money again after the 2,399 million dollar loss posted a year ago. Q3 EPS reached 0.25 dollar.
American Airlines expects strong demand during the peak periods of Q4, with over 6,000 daily flights on certain days.
The company also said it still intends to repay 15 billion dollars of debt by the end of 2025.
The share is up 29% YTD.
