American Airlines: forecasts increased.
(CercleFinance.com) - Boosted by higher returns in both its domestic market and the rest of Americas and the Caribbean, American Airlines has raised its forecast for unit revenue for the second quarter of its fiscal year.
This is now expected to increase by between 5% and 6%, against a previous range of between 3.5% and 5.5%. Meanwhile, the group's adjusted pre-tax margin is expected to be between 13% and 14%, while the US airline previously anticipated a margin of between 12% and 14%.
American Airlines traffic rose 0.8% last month, while capacity increased by 1.1%, which resulted in a slight (0.2 point) decline in the load factor to 84.7%.
