Amazon: plans to open logistics center in Illinois
(CercleFinance.com) - US online retail giant Amazon has announced that it plans to open a logistics center in Channahon, Illinois, creating more than 500 new full-time jobs, covering an area of approximately 93,000 square metres.
Employees will pick, pack and ship to customers large items such as sporting equipment, fishing rods, canoes and bicycles. Amazon currently has over 11,000 full-time employees in Illinois.
