Amazon: to create 600 tech jobs in Toronto
(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon plans to create 600 new jobs in areas such as software, machine learning, cloud computing, digital advertising and artificial intelligence as part of the expansion of its tech hub in Toronto, the US online retailer said on Tuesday.
Amazon has recently opened a 113,000 square foot office in central Toronto, with over 800 employees at present, primarily focused on research and software development for its cloud unit, and the voice assistant Alexa.
Amazon's Toronto office is one of the company's 18 tech hubs outside Seattle in North America.
